Playra Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 September 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Playra for using the Playra app and the playra.org website. Please read them. By creating an account, or by agreeing when the app asks you to, you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use Playra.

1. Who we are

Playra is run by Mohammad Takriti, an individual developer based in the United Kingdom ("Playra", "we", "us"). Contact: info@playra.org.

2. Who can use Playra

You must be 18 or older. You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send to it. Give your real name and a phone number where you can be reached — venues use it to contact you about a booking. One account per person; an account is personal and cannot be sold or handed to someone else. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can read your email can sign in to Playra as you. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.

3. What Playra does

Playra lets you find venues, book their courts, and arrange casual matches with other players ("Play Together"). The venues are independent businesses: they own and run the courts, set their prices and opening hours, and are responsible for their facilities and their house rules. Playra is the booking platform, not the operator of any venue.

4. PLAYZ — prepaid credit

5. Prices and Playra's commission

Prices are set by each venue and shown in the app before you pay. You pay exactly the price shown — there is no booking fee on top. Playra keeps a percentage of every booking made at a venue (our commission); it is taken out of the price you pay, never added to it.

6. Bookings, cancellations and refunds

7. Play Together

8. Community rules — zero tolerance

Playra has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. In match chats, in your name or username, and wherever else you can write in Playra, you must not post or send:

Chat messages are checked for offensive words before they are sent. Long-press any message to report it or block its sender, and tap a player in a match to report or block them. You can also write to info@playra.org. We review reports within 24 hours. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and the account responsible is suspended or closed.

You are also expected to turn up to the bookings and matches you commit to, respect venues' staff, equipment and house rules, and never misuse top-ups, payments, results or the app's systems.

9. Your content

You are responsible for what you post. You keep ownership of it, and you give Playra permission to store and show it to the people it is meant for, only in order to run the service. We may remove any content that breaks these terms.

10. Suspension and account deletion

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts other people at risk, or is used for fraud. Where fraud is involved, we may keep back PLAYZ gained through it.

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Delete my account), or by writing to info@playra.org. First cancel any upcoming booking and leave any match that has not been played. Any PLAYZ left in your balance when you delete your account is lost — it cannot be refunded or paid out. If you think something is wrong with your balance, contact info@playra.org before you delete. What we keep after deletion is explained in the Privacy Policy.

11. The service

We keep improving Playra, so features may change, be added or be removed, and the app may update itself (including updates delivered directly by us between app store releases). We may pause the service for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We will try to keep Playra available and to protect your balance and bookings, but we cannot promise that it will always be available or free of errors.

12. Sport and safety

Sport carries a risk of injury. You take part at your own risk, and it is up to you to make sure you are fit to play. The venue — not Playra — is responsible for the condition and safety of its courts and facilities.

13. Our responsibility to you

Playra is provided "as is". As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for what happens at a venue, for other players' behaviour, or for indirect or consequential losses, and our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to the value of the booking or match share the claim is about. Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit.

14. App stores

If you downloaded Playra from the Apple App Store or Google Play, these terms are between you and Playra, not Apple or Google. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support, and they may enforce these terms as third-party beneficiaries.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, if the change is significant, the app will ask you to agree again before you continue.

16. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, you keep any protections the law where you live gives you. Please contact us first — most problems can be solved quickly by email.
